About

For more than 110 years since our founding in 1912, AKS Cutting Systems and our parent company, Kiffer Industries, have been on the forefront of machine tool design in the USA. We are proud to be a 4th generation family-owned and operated company as well as a local institution in Cleveland, Ohio. From our humble beginnings in high-quality custom machining on Tillman Avenue to our modern 55,000-square-foot facility across the street from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, we bring a tradition of excellence in machine tool design and building that extends around the globe from our home in northeast Ohio.

AKS Cutting Systems has a strong reputation for durability, accuracy and reliability with thousands of installations worldwide. Our company is one of the only made-in-the-USA manufacturers of CNC cutting machines for plasma cutting, waterjet cutting, oxy-fuel cutting and fiber laser cutting systems for the plate metal, tube & pipe, sheet metal, and fabricating industries, and we partner with many high-quality machinery sales dealers to offer an extensive service and support network.

Now, after more than thirty years of excellence in hy-definition, high performance products, AKS is expanding once again with the new goal of bringing our expertise to bear in the market for traditional “air” plasma machines. We are proud to introduce the newest AKS product: PLASMATIC™. Engineered and manufactured by AKS Cutting Systems, the PLASMATIC™ is the most reliable and durable “air” plasma cutting table on the market. While the PLASMATIC™ offers an affordable and user-friendly alternative to more expensive cutting tables, it is built to the same high standards and rigorous design criteria as all other premium AKS models.

The PLASMATIC™ may have an entry-level price point, but its performance quality goes far beyond that of the typical entry-level brand. With a weight of 3,860 lbs. and a 120” x 60” cutting envelope, this machine has a small footprint, but a big impact. Its fully welded, one-piece frame provides sturdy construction that will last, while industry-leading operational software and fully adjustable cut settings offer precision tooling through a user-friendly interface.

PLASMATIC™ machines are designed to be user-friendly to get you up and running quickly. With that goal in mind, the machines are shipped fully assembled, ready for simple plug-and-play installation without the need for a service expert to complete the setup. Simply place the machine where you want it, unwrap, and connect to a power source, and you are ready to cut.
